Description:
A small embroidered silk uchishiki featuring a young Buddhist sage presenting an opened scroll to the world: presumably a sacred one that contains all the wisdom of the world. Hemp backside-lining has a large stain. The embroidery work is exceedingly fine and the condition is near perfect. This was from the same family and temple as item 2332. 11" x 11"
