Description:
A silk uchishiki created with the tsume tsuzure (split tapestry) technique, featuring a phoenix and flowers. Cotton backing. Good condition with some obvious wear areas about the center. 33" x 21". The Phoenix is endowed with all of the magical qualities of auspiciousness: longevity, resurrection, the solar and alchemical fire, and symbolizes peace and tranquility.
