Description:
A small kesa with very strong fold lines: this is refered to as an 'ori-gojo' kesa, part of a monks costume used as simplified kesa. It was folded and hung on the monk's shoulder. The hems are made of purple silk featuring brocaded dragon and cloud motifs. The yellow part is made of asa (Japanese hemp), and therefore is relatively stiff. Excellent condition. 30" x 43"
