A silk gift cloth featuring an yuzen-dyed and embroidered 'Fukurokuju' motif. In Japan, Fukurokuju – one of the seven lucky gods - is considered highly auspicious and is often delineated in many different materials such as silk, wood, ivory, precious gemstones and stone as a good luck and harbinger of wisdom and longevity. This god is accompanied by his friend the crane - also associated with longevity. Very good condition. 18" x 20"
