A large, finely-rendered silk fukusa that represents a superior example of a recurring longevity theme involving cranes, turtles and the sun: legend has it that it takes the crane 1000 years to fly to the sun after it has left the back of the turtle.. Yuzen-dyeing; sumi-e, sagara and metallic embroidery highlights. Backside silk lining also has yuzen and embroidery highlights. Very good condition. 26" x 30"
