A tapestry-weave silk uchishiki featuring auspicious Buddhist symbols: loyus blossom within the early bottom, and a deity in the upper heavens. Condition is fair, with a number of tears (see example in detail image) in the brown areas due to weakening of the cloth resulting from the mordant utilized. Backing lining is in tatters. 25" x 25" along sides
