A man's silk juban featuring a rare design of impressive 'mino shibori' patterns. Very good condition, with some small repairs as well as a few tiny silk splits along the top shoulder. 47" from sleeve-end to sleeve-end x 46" height. 'Mino shibori' is named because the lines radiating from the neck resemble 'mino', straw raincoats traditionally worn in the countryside of Japan. This mino shibori technique is sometimes utilized in an outer kimono intended for wear during specific festivals.
