'Sarasa' tea ceremony cotton cloth. Very good condition. 35" x 38" 'Sarasa' in Japan refers to 'printed cloth', cloth created by woodblock mordant stamping onto cotton . Sarasa cloth was initially imported from India centuries ago, but during the past two hundred years began to be created in Japanese workshops as well.
