" Here is a great pre WWII crepe silk in a very hard to categorize color that I have decided to call light rust. The white areas, which seem to be in the shape of ume are filled with delicate floral motifs like botan (peony), momiji (maple) and kiku (mum). This piece is very characteristic of kimonos of this period. The silk is of a lighter, more delicate weight and thus has a great drape." Very good condition; "Bite" at one end. 13.75" x 42"
