This embroidered valance showcases the "Point de Beauvais" style, also known as tambour or chain stitch. The fine linen ground is a light tan color. Originally collected by the esteemed Chicago textile collector and prominent architect Stanley Tigerman, it's in good condition, albeit with several minor wears and re-stitches in both the ground fabric and embroidery. Its dimensions are 16 inches by 40 inches (41 cm x 102 cm).
