This antique silk, dating back to around the 1920s, showcases large, striking sakura (cherry) blossoms. The background boasts a vibrant true red while the blossoms contrast in white and vivid turquoise. Known as a "dry" silk or tsugumi, it's characterized by irregular threads spun from hatched cocoons, similar to tussah silk. Despite its thinness, it maintains a nice drape. This piece is in excellent condition, measuring 14.5 inches (37 cm) x 59 inches (150 cm).
