This silk miyamairi kimono, employed for christening a baby boy in a Shinto ceremony, presents an uncommonly extensive array of yuzen-dyed motifs adorning both the front and back. The prominent motifs, situated on the back, portray a kubuto (samurai helmet) and a dove. The yuzen work is remarkably diverse and of exceptional quality. This kimono is in very good condition and measures 35 inches (89 cm) from sleeve-end to sleeve-end.
