This silk embroidery is set against a background of laid-work silk floss, which is quite challenging to capture accurately in photographs due to its reflective nature—its subtleties are best appreciated in person. The linen base has selvedges on both sides, finished and folded at the bottom, while the top is cut and folded (refer to detail images). Considering the age and delicacy of the laid-work silk floss, the textile remains in exceptional condition, with some wear near several corners. Its measurements are 71 inches by 34 inches (180 cm x 86 cm).
