The formerly framed fukusa, unfortunately altered to fit a frame, features finely rendered metallic-thread couching depicting two mythical 'minogame' creatures on a dark blue silk background. The embroidery itself measures approximately 27 inches (68.6 cm) in width and 24 inches (61 cm) in height. Regrettably, the piece was trimmed by approximately 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) on each of the four sides to fit the frame. Despite this alteration, the main panel remains in better condition compared to most fukusa of a similar early age.
