This meisen silk kimono showcases bright flowers and shikishi (square paper) motifs using the weft ikat technique. While in very good condition, it does have numerous light yellow patina spots. Consequently, it might not be suitable for wear but could be appreciated as art. Measuring 50 inches (127 cm) from sleeve-end to sleeve-end and standing 50 inches (127 cm) tall, its artistic value remains intact despite its wearability concerns.
