This fine silk dounuki, a specialized under-kimono, showcases a bodice section of very fine plain silk decorated with shibori-dyed patterns, while the extremes are of a sarasa-style chirimen silk. Despite some silk splits along the shoulder area and a tear on the front, it measures 48 inches (121.9 cm) from sleeve-end to sleeve-end and stands at a height of 56 inches (142.2 cm).
